Equipment Depot Raffle
We have received several pieces of donated equipment that we are raffling in order to make them available to as many teachers as possible. Click here for a full list of available items with retail values.
The raffle is open to any Georgia K-12 teacher. The deadline to enter the raffle is November 30th, 2025 at midnight. Limit one entry per person (we will remove duplicate entries). The recipients will be notified on Tuesday, December 2nd. We prefer items be picked up from the Equipment Depot, but will arrange delivery if needed.
We have received several donations of healthcare supplies recently, as well as a large donation of 1000 microliter pipettes from miniPCR. Some of the pipettes in each case of 50 are defective. Our fall intern, Talia, has sorted through some of the cases, and these pipettes are on shelves in the Depot. Many cases have not been sorted, so Talia created an SOP to help schools with testing and reparing the pipettes when possible.
During the week of Thanksgiving, we will be hosting Open House events on Tuesday (11/25) and Wednesday (11/26). Click here to sign up for the Open House. You are also welcome to schedule a visit here.
Want to see what’s available before you visit? Email Megan to schedule a virtual walk-through.
We are constantly receiving donations so stay up-to-date on new items in the Equipment Depot by following us on Instagram and LinkedIn. For more information about the Equipment Depot and its impact on the community, visit our website here.
UGA Regenerative Bioscience Open House 12/7
UGA's Regenerative Bioscience program will be hosting an Open House on Sunday, December 7th. Bring your students with you, or attend by yourself! This is an amazing opportunity to learn about the program directly from students and faculty. This year's event will feature a breakout session for teachers to learn about incorporating regenerative bioscience into their curriculum.

Support: Georgia Life Sciences Teacher Network
We are here to support your efforts to bring life science career relevance and hands-on activities to your classroom, and there are many teachers across the state who are willing to offer their expertise to help enhance your classroom. Last year, we created a database of teachers willing to help as you implement new science activities and concepts with your students. Click here to view the database.
Chemistry Shorts brings high-impact, short films to the classroom that showcase how chemistry is solving real-world challenges—from better batteries and synthetic skins to microbes, water treatment, and the origins of life. Each film (7-12 minutes) is paired with downloadable teacher and student resources, offering ready-to-use lesson plans and answer keys for educators.
